Spring Shearing Celebration

Updates! Here’s the basic skinny on the goings-on for Spring Shearing Day, May 19, 2012:

  • Gates open at 10am and the party don’t stop ’til we hit  o’clock!
  • We’re having the party rain or shine!
  • The address of the farm is 1036 Venable Rd, Palmyra, VA 22963.  GPS’s will know the address only if their maps are up to date.  If your GPS is older, please make sure to check out the above link for directions from Google Maps.
  • This year, we are providing lunch rather than having a potluck. Strange as it sounds, the potluck ends up being way more work, and this year, we’re cutting down on the chaos.
  • More information will be posted here as it develops.

If you are looking for accommodations near the farm, there is a new Best Western hotel that’s about 15 minutes away. The hotel books up fast on Shearing Day Weekend, so please make your reservation early! Be sure and tell them you are coming for Juniper Moon Farm’s Shearing Day Celebration- you may be eligible for a discounted rate. You must call the hotel directly to qualify for the group rate. (540) 832-1700 ‎

Was delighted to discover you in Charlottesville Family when looking for something to do with my 8 yr old granddaughter this w/e. – and to find that you are the same Juniper Moon Farm with the beautiful yarns advertised in the Debbis Bliss magazine.

Would like to come with Charlotte tomorrow – just the two of us. Looking forward to it!
