Are you a designer interested in receiving notifications of our current call for submissions? If so, you can sign up by clicking here. Be sure to select “Call for Current Submission Notification.” We publish pattern support for our yarn lines twice a year through our yarn distributor and look for up-and-coming designers to come up with new and interesting patterns to add to our collection.

We also occasionally publish knitting and crochet patterns on our website separately from our distributor. We look through our submission call proposals to begin with, but if you’re interested in designing a pattern that we tech edit and publish, read on. We look for the small details that set JMF designs apart, i.e. the key hole closure on Edie tromp l’oile pullover, the cuff buttons on the Baltoro sweater. Also we want designs with interesting construction but wear-ability is key. A JMF garment is one that will become a wardrobe staple. We also look for one or two skein accessories. Things for the advanced beginner or intermediate knitter looking to expand a skill on a small project.

In addition, we also give yarn support for designers who wish to publish independently. In order to be considered, you must have published patterns either independently or through professional publications recently.
