LambCam 3
If you are having issues viewing this LambCam, please try the following:
- Upgrade to Flash 10,2,153,1 (May be optional but this was the version used on test Mac where the problem was solved. You can try steps 2 through 10 first)
- Click About Flash to find your version
- To upgrade go to Get FlashPlayer
- Close all of your browsers (Safari and Firefox)
- Go to LambCam 3 from Safari or Firefox
- Wait for the sound to start playing but the video is likely to be black.
- Right-click on the video and choose “settings” (Not Global Settings)
- Click the leftmost computer monitor icon in the window if you do not see “Enable hardware acceleration”
- Uncheck “Enable hardware acceleration”
- Click close.
- Quit Safari or Firefox (Rightclick the browser icon in the dock choose Quit)
- Go to LambCam 3 and the video should be visible after it finishes connecting (about 10 seconds).
The changes only need to be done from one browser and they apply to all browsers.
Thanks to MarieGraceDesigns for the help with this fix!

I have no trouble with Lambcams 2 and 3, but #1 still gives me a still picture, although it is the biggest. Is there a way I can make the image in 2 and/or 3 larger?
You can make #2 and #3 go into full-screen mode by hoovering your mouse on top of the video, and then clicking the icon in the bottom-right. Once it is full-screen, it will likely look too grainy if you are close to your monitor. You may zoom out to make the image smaller until it is a good size for your viewing.
#1 not coming in, only blank screen. Any suggestions?
yay! lambcams! i see people
cam 3 & 2 work fine
but cam 1 says it requires an app that only runs in 32 bit mode
and asks to restart my mac in that mode
both other cams don’t do that
?
thanks for having this all set up!!! YAY! baby time!
hugs and love
rona
That cockerel of yours is very persistent – those poor hens are exhausted!
Ok …. It’s 6:53 pm here in PA and I think my brain just exploded from the cuteness of seeing a newborn kid and hearing the screaming and the 2 people talking reassuringly ….
OMGosh!!! 6:56 and one just took their first steps right up to mama!!!
This has to be some type of cruel and unusual punishment because I can’t reach through the screen to gently rub some ears.
Sharon, I know just what you mean!! Are you on Ravelry? We do a lot of our chatting in the Juniper Moon Farm Virtual Flock group there. Join us if you’re on ravelry!
No Ravelry … not even sure what that is …
Hey techy folk, I can see Lambcams 1 and 2 (very fuzzy, but can see it), but 3 never appears, just a black box. Safari on Mac. Any suggestions?
Can you try firefox? Although it makes no sense that you can see 2 and not 3…
Same thing on firefox, although now I can ONLY “see” 2. ‘s ok, I love what everyone has done, and am sure the kinks will get worked out. Just reporting what I’m seeing/not seeing.
Heh, now 1 is back for me, 3 remains a black box. Um, Susan, GET SOME SLEEP!
I’m new here, but loving it! I’m on a Mac and only getting #2–black box on #3–and mosaic on #1. I’ve made an appointment at the Genius Bar at my local Apple store (Boston area) on Sunday morning to see if they can figure things out! That’s how much I want to see all the action. And–thanks for all the photos on your blog–
Welcome, Carol! If they have any words of wisdom, please share! Lori
For people on Mac trying to see cam no.1: click the ctrl-key while clicking on the still mosaic image. I got the option to click on “play” and now I see it!!!!
Joke- you’re my hero! I’m posting this on the lambcam 1 page. Thanks for sharing!
Lori, sometimes I get a plain black box on #3. When that happens I just refresh and sooner or later I get the picture. Weird, but it works for me. I think maybe you have to earn its trust.
i’m refreshing like an impatient toddler and still just get a black box on #3. i hear sound, though. #1 and #2 are working pretty well for me – a little freeze-y sometimes on #1 but i serendipitously discovered that the two finger scroll fast-forwards and rewinds the stream on #1, which is kind of cool. i’m on a mac on safari 5.0.4.
I love the Lambcam!
What is that ‘growth’ on the left side of the screen? Looks like something from “Ghost Busters”!
I’m getting crazy bright holy-grail objects in the far right corner on camera 3. Sunshine? but it looks like it’s moving.. curious.
I was just checking on the morning feeding… love to see everyone eating when it’s still dark here. I turned up the sound and a rooster crowed. My dog sat straight up, whined and went running outside to look for him!!!! I’m still laughing.
Is it my eyes or is there a little black lamb there? No, I’m sure its a black lamb, how cute.
Good night everybody! Sleep well!
The bottle babies certainly now when THEY think it is meal time. Love the pile up by the door and the requests- nay DEMANDS for b’fast or dinner.
Hi Amy! Love seeing you take pix of the little Milkshakers!
I followed all the instructions given to get Cam #3 to work, but I get the message that Media Server can not connect to Camera/Live source service. My Flash player starts with 11.1. ………. Am I assuming that this means my Mac OS X has updated beyond the 10.1….. which is recommended. I shut down Safari as suggested, but then I turned it on again to get to JMF (I think this is the only way to get there) and still I have no audio or video. Can anyone help me, here?
I feel better now with a (straw) goat to watch. Maybe the baby Jesus will visit soon!
And, as a Shepherd-In-Waiting who slept in the barn I do recognize the space & am very happy to see there is a straw goat-in-waiting as well.
You know, when I think of all the things I have/need to do in a day, this blog & connecting to JMFF is a priority to remind me that we are not here for a long time but for a good time.
