Farm Stays
We offer a limited number of farm stays every year at Juniper Moon Farm. Whether you are thinking of starting a flock of your own or just want to spend a week knitting and spinning in the pasture, we think you’ll find your stay educational, relaxing and a whole lot of fun!
Our long weekend stays (arriving Thursday, leaving Sunday) are available for $750 per person, and come with meals included.
All meals are served family-style with the Juniper Moon staff. Susie is a culinary school graduate and sources as many ingredients as possible locally, including produce from a CSA just up the road.
While at the farm, you are welcome and encouraged to help us with morning and afternoon chores. Mid-days are free time for you to spend getting to know the flock or exploring the beautiful Charlottesville area. If you’ve never visited this part of Virginia, you are in for a treat! We are surrounded by vineyards and wineries and many wonderful local farms. Skiing is available at nearby Wintergreen Resort. History buffs will enjoy touring the homes of three U.S. presidents- Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, and James Madison.
If you would like to take a spinning, knitting, or yarn dyeing class while at the farm, just let us know and we will be happy to make the arrangements for you for an additional charge. Private yoga classes are also available at the farm, and we can arrange for horse back riding lessons at a nearby farm.

See you on the farm!
