Fall Shearing Celebration

Updates! Here’s the basic skinny on the goings-on for Fall Shearing Day, October 22, 2011:

  • Gates open at 10am and the party don’t stop ’til we hit 6 o’clock!
  • We’re having the party rain or shine!
  • The address of the farm is 1036 Venable Rd, Palmyra, VA 22963.  GPS’s will know the address only if their maps are up to date.  If your GPS is older, please make sure to check out the above link for directions from Google Maps.
  • We’re having a big ol’ potluck, so bring a dish to share!  Instead of eating at 2 like we usually do, we’re going to put the dishes out as they get there so people can eat when they are hungry.
  • More information will be posted here as it develops.

If you are looking for accommodations near the farm, there is a newBest Western hotel that’s about 15 minutes away. The hotel books up fast on Shearing Day Weekend, so please make your reservation early! Be sure and tell them you are coming for Juniper Moon Farm’s Shearing Day Celebration- you may be eligible for a discounted rate. You must call the hotel directly to qualify for the group rate. (540) 832-1700 ‎

I will be joining you this year with my husband and 10 month old son! So excited! We’ll be staying at the Best Western too for Friday and Saturday night.

Can’t wait! I have my hotel reservation made and am bringing a good friend of mine. She’s not a fiber addict but I know she’s going to love being there as much as I do!

Ahhhh sounds like so much fun. Mydaughter has a volleyball tourney! Light at the end of the tunnel….she is a senior and my last of four. After this year I can go to lots of celebrations, festivals and such!
