Whistler Pillow Giveaway

Two of my favorite patterns that we’ve ever produced here at Juniper Moon Farm are the Whistler Pillow and the Smith Blanket. These designs by Pam Wynne are such a beautiful example of variegated and solid yarns used together.Whistler_detail_medium2

Billie from Yarn Scout's Whistler Pillow

I love this version by Billie, a customer of Yarn Scout. There are a couple of other interesting variations of the pattern on Ravelry.

JMF Moonshine

Over the weekend, I realized that I have enough partial balls of Moonshine in the colors needed for the pillow to do a giveaway. (You will need to purchase 2 skeins of the main color at your local yarn store to make the pillow.)

To enter to win the variegated yarn needed to make the Whistler Pillow and a digital copy of the pattern, leave a comment on this post. I’ll pick a winner at random and post the name here on Friday, 7/27 in the morning.

Good luck!

  18. I, like everyone else commenting, would love to win the variegated colors for the Whistler Pillow. We purchased a small farm last August, moved in during October and lived with two over-stuffed chairs and two blow up mattresses while we completed extensive work to the inside, plus waited for our other house to sell. We are finally completely moved and are arranging furniture – and rebuilding all the shelving for my yarn stash! I’d love to decorate with this pillow.

  19. Absolutely beautiful!! I have made a pillow yet and now I know I need to add this to my wish list!

What a RADIANT PATTERN! (Note the “Charlotte’s Web” connotation). I really need to make this. I have been looking for just the right pillow pattern to knit for the school bus driver for my boys. My youngest just graduated high school, and I want to thank her for all the years of carting them back and forth safely over our bumpy rural roads here in Maine. Our own road is especially rough, and she can either use it to to sit on OR decorate her her house! Oh, yes, and I LOVE your Moonshine yarn. I have to either travel 25 miles to Freeport or 50 miles to York to buy it. It would be so nice to have it appear in my mailbox instead!

  43. Looks like an awesome and fun project with beautiful yarn. Would love to try it!

  44. What a stunning use of colors! Love it!

  221. This pillow is beautiful and perfect. For weeks, I’ve been pondering how to change my contribution to our extended family annual Christmas gift exchange. I wanted to begin a tradition of a variation on some hand made gift that I could make each year, but tailor it to the specific person I drew for that Christmas. This amazing pillow is the answer. It will be beautiful in so many variations to reflect the personality of the recipient – loud and joyous, quiet and reserved, garden colours, colours of the sea, colours to soothe or to excite. Can’t wait to win this pattern and begin my 2014 family gift. Thank you.

  250. I saw this beautiful, amazing, magnificent pillow and blanket at a trunk show while you were visiting Lambspun in Ft. Collins Colorado. As with some of your other patterns and fabrics I fell in love with it and hope some day to have the chance to make it, under Shirley’s guidance of course. I have made a couple coals and am now working on your lace back vest, this is the first ever piece of clothing for me. Please keep up your amazing work and continue sending pictures of your pup, he is so cute. Hope his vet visit went better the second time around, poor little guy. Love you guys.
