Yarned by You: Hat Edition

Today’s Yarned by  You looks at hats. Maybe you’re still feeling a bit burnt out from Christmas knitting, but need something quick to get your mojo back. Or maybe you have (or someone you love has) a chilly noggin. A hat is the perfect solution! It knits fast! One size fits many! Even if it doesn’t fit its recipient, it will likely fit someone, unless you make it big enough for a giant. (Well, I don’t know. Maybe you actually have some friends that are giants.)

Here’s a quick look at various hats that people are knitting. Click the picture to be taken to the Ravelry page where you can learn what about the pattern and the yarn they’re knitting with. (I like to play “Guess the Yarn” while looking these up.)

  1. I love the the 5th one and the last one because I have a granddaughter who is going to be 4 and purple is her favorite color

  2. I love any cabled hats! I’ve made that last one a couple of times — it’s a favorite new baby gift!

  3. I have had my eye on the Neon Ski Bonnet for some time. Seeing it in Chadwick makes me so happy because I’ve got some in my stash that is just waiting to be knit! Maybe I’ll cast on tonight… :D

  4. I like the last one best, can I make one for me??? haha..

  5. #3 knitted up in the right shade of blue could look very Dr.Who-ish.

  6. The last one would look really cute on a little one.

  7. I have something very similar to the snowtracks hat … I love cables on anything!

  8. I love the purl one although I think all of them are pretty.

  9. The last 2 and the purple bonnet. 2 for the grand kids and 1 for grandma!
