Here at Juniper Moon Farm our boots hold a special place of honor. They are not just a tool we use, not just a piece of clothing we wear. They are what transforms our P.J.’s in the middle of the night into hard working farm cloths or turn six inches of mud into a lovely stroll in the park.
Mud is an unavoidable aspect of our every day lives and when this mud if often a combination of dirt and animal waste there is a lot to be said for having good protection. A good boot not only protects you from mud but prevent the mud from clinging onto the boot and creating a massive mud boot combination which is near impossible to move around in.
Boots are more than just protection from mud they are a barrier against all of the elements. I can stomp around in the snow with impunity while wearing knee high boots or I can kick-in a layer of ice that has frozen over the water buckets. My boots have a combination of vulcanized rubber bottom and a breathable neoprene top which have made these recent hot days no challenge.
My boots also have strong steel toes. At first I was sure that extra weight was not going to be worth but now that I can hardly feel when the sheep, pigs, or mini donkeys step on my feet I am more than pleased with my choice. The extra protection is also nice when I am working repairing the fence or working on the tractor when the chance of something heavy dropping on my foot is high.
A few weeks ago, the good people that make Bogs Boots sent me the pair of their kick-ass Rancher Steel Toe Bootsto try out. But that’s not all- they even threw in a pair for one of you!
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment on this post telling me which pair of Bogs you would choose if you win.One entry per person Entries will be closed on Friday, March 2nd at Noon EST and the winner will be posted here with information about how to claim your prize. Good Luck, everybody!

Classic Short in Blue Mayflower. I put my tall ones on over my pj’s to do morning chores, too!
a pair in my size is all I would want!
Really, though… My mom found a kick-ass deal at the Plow and Hearth on a pair a few years ago. Only problem was they are two sizes too large! I love them anyway; two pairs of socks and orthotics make them work.
Especially when I have to bail out with my reactive dog into the creek!
My pair are classic High in a discontinued pattern…they’re great in the garden and taking a walk, but then I try to run an errand and get funny looks. So, I’d love to have a pair of Masons in the brown… stylin’!
I like the Women’s Classic High Handles in the teal color.
Classic tall Mayflowers–in purple………so much fun!
Boooooots!! Would love to have good boots! With a mean bunion on one foot, it’s important to have a wide toebox, and the Bogs Blaze Hi boots sound just perfect. Fingers & toes crossed!!
I think I will go with the Rancher Steel Toes so that my toes will be protected when I win my flock from you. Just have to figure out how to make a video!
I love all of them! I have lusted for a pair for quite some time – great giveaway! I don’t have a flock of sheep but I have two labs with big feet and 32 acres to wander on – these would be great.
Thanks!
The Classic Tall in May Flowers are perfect for a muddy spring.
OOoo I like the classic high handles in black.
I am a sucker for prints, so the Classic Mid Le Jardin (52490) is right up my alley!
thank you, and Bogs, for the giveaway. I am definitely bookmarking their site for the future.
The Classic Mid Ambrosia – perfect for Alaskan rain and slush. Because I am short the mid size would be just right and the purple would make people smile – so different from the brown extra tuffs we usually wear for fishing.
i love them all and a girl really can’t have too many boots, can she? i think i’d choose one of the classic tall may flowers boots. or maybe a pair of the rue ambrosia slip-ons – the green one, probably or the blue.
Boots! And so many to choose from! I would pick the classic tall, in either the greenish Mayflower pattern or Le Jardin. Nothing beats a good pair of boots with a little Girly color for fun!!
Ooooo, I love Bogs!
Classic High handles in Teal, or maybe McKenna. I love boots.
Sometimes walking the kids to school is slimy, mucky business!
Classic Ultra High for me!
It’s not hard to choose a favorite, it’s hard to choose just one!
I’ll have to pick the Tall May Flowers. Love, love, love!
Classic mid handle is the option for me. I love the decorative ones, but I’m a practical gal.
I love Bogs. I have two pair, one for at home, and one kept in the car for work away from home. If I were lucky enough to win, I would pick one of the steel toe styles–I’ve had my eye on them for a while. Probably the Rancher steel toe.
Thanks for a great giveaway!
I love boots. One of the most important things to me are my Daddy’s farm boots. As long as I look at them, he is with me because he wore them everyday except Sunday. I would love to have the classic high handles in blue or for my city girl rainy days, Rue gum rubber (71019)!
Love the Classica Tall Mayflower – i love boots im always outdoors getting into something whether its the garden or just hanging out with the husband riding the 4 wheeler im into it
I have wide enough feet that I have to wear men’s boots. I like the Journeyman Steel Toe, because it looks like it would transition well from farm to construction site and back again.
Oh My…they have kiddie sizes! I could actually get a pair that fits! Woo Hoo!
Sorry… I wear a size 6K and finding any shoe/boot that doesn’t have Hello Kitty, Thomas the Train or Elmo on them is exciting to me!
I love the Classic High Daisy (in Teal).
Thank you for sharing this site…even if I don’t win, I’m getting a pair of these boots!
Ooooo! My gymnast daughter could certainly use these–she’s a mud-loving spring baby & size 6 kids “Classic High Tuscany” in turquoise would suit her fine!
I love the classic high le jardin. It’s spring!
My mom said she would like th “Classic High Tuscany” boots in black. She is a size 8/M (That’s what it said inside of her snow boots!) OOOOOOOOOOOH….
P.S. I love your SHEEP! They’re not fat, they’re FLUFFY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See u L8R!
The May Flowers boots would be beautiful to wear.
I LOVE Bogs. I tell everyone they are the best boots ever! I live in Canada so I know cold feet and my feet are never cold in BOGS.
I would love the Alex I in red.
Pick me pick me!
I think I would go with the Patton as I have a really high instep which seems to make getting boots of this type on and off an absolute nightmare. I sold my Hunters as they fit horribly, my Crocs boots are useless, so now I have no waterproof boots for the rain, slush and mud here in Vancouver BC. Please help a man (the only one to post a comment I think) in need.
Cheers
Ben
Awesome – BOGS come from my home state of Oregon!
I bought a pair for my son a few years ago, and it would be fun to have a pair, too!
I would choose the Classic High Handles in Glossy Black (#60155-005).
Any – but the Classic Tall Mayflowers are pretty. My daughters have Bogs and we LOVE them. They have excellent customer service as well!! Super footwear!
I think the Classic High Women’s will do nicely around the barnyard! Thanks for a chance at this awesome give-away!
Perfect timing… mine (“Muck” brand) have started cracking & leaking. Given the daily use they get around this little farm, I’d opt for the Rancher Steel Toe because I wouldn’t mind NOT feeling it when the goats step on MY toes – that sounds lovely!
I like the Classic Tall May Flowers
too many beautiful boots! I’d have a hard time deciding between the High Tuscany or the Tall May Flowers or the High Lanai. In fact the choices are all so great I might just let my eleven year old daughter choose the pair for her! She would go for the turquoise Tuscany I am thinking!
I’ve taken days to post because I really can not decide. I like them all! Something that could take me from my muddy backyard urban farm to work in my artsy downtown office. I love a pop of color but I’m also practical and would want to wear these a lot! Help?
I’d take the Journeyman Steel toe also. After two years of daily hard use my mucks are about dead. I was planning on replacing them this fall. As with you the steel toes would really help around my horses and cows!
Classic high Le Jardin for me in blue. My feel will be smilin’ all day!
