I cannot wait another minute to share Sabine with you! Sabine- named after our sweet, sweet Maremma, is blend of Royal Llama, Merino and cotton and it is just dreamy! The knitters who have worked with it so far were completely smitten. It’s got a great “hand” as they say.
I am also thrilled to introduce you to our incredible designer, Marie Grace Smith. Marie Grace has published some lovely children’s patterns and as soon as I saw them, I knew I had to work with her. Marie Grace’s designs have a sensibility that I absolutely adore.
I couldn’t wait to see what she would come up with for Sabine and I was not disappointed. There are two things I love about this collection. First, it is very much a collection. Each piece was carefully, thoughtfully created and there are themes that run throughout.
The second thing is that each of these garments is incredibly wearable, if you know what I mean. There isn’t a piece in the collection that I wouldn’t wear every day.
Working with Marie Grace was a joy. Well, for us it was a joy; I think we may have tested her patience from time to time, but she was a great sport and never let herself get rattled by the delays and stumbling block.
Marie Grace is a good friend and you can definitely expect to see more of her work under the Juniper Moon label very soon.

As you can see MG completely out did herself! I am so proud of this book I could burst!
Please indulge me for a minute by referring to yesterdays thank yous. I was planning to leave it at that but I have to tell you that looking at these pictures was such a joy for me tonight because everyone involved in this whole process is a friend. We had such a great time on the photo shoot and everyone on and off camera worked there backsides off.
For the rest of my life, when I look at these books I will remember that a whole bunch of us got together and made something amazing, something that none of us could have accomplished on our own. And that means as much to me as my logo on the yarn and the books because we made this together. I am getting choked up just typing these words.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. Sincerely and from my heart, thank you.
And dear Lord what would we have done without Lauria? The woman is a wonder. She spent the entire day putting these patterns into Ravelry just so you can go ahead and start putting them in your queues. You can find the 10 patterns that well be published in the book here and the four that will be available as free downloads here.
She also put all the Yearling patterns in from yesterday’s post. You can find them here.
If your local yarn store isn’t currently carrying the JMF lines and you’d like to knit these patterns, ask them to bring it in. We’re currently in more than 100 stores and the list is growing like crazy.

Simply stunning! *round of applause*
Well, I must knit Bracken! That edging is entirely too sweet.
To Ravelry!
Emily, that sweater was a bit of a show stopper at TNNA! Everyone who walked by had to stop and take a closer look.
Sublime Sabine! I gotta have some!
Really like the girls in this shoot! I wonder why?
I love every one of the pattern shown, they all are so elegant-I will be looking for the book!
Love, Love, Love! I am just completely enamored!
Oh my, first Pamela Wynne and now Marie Grace — I’ve made at least one pattern by each of them — in fact Marie Grace’s child’s sweater (Daisy?) was the first sweater I ever completed! Can’t wait for the yarn and the pattern books!
I can’t wait to get my hands on this yarn again! I’ll have to give up sleep when it hits the shelves. Can’t. Wait. ‘Til. March!!!!!
Absolutely fabulous!
These ARE wonderful. Loved seeing YOU and the yarns today at Woolie Ewe. I hope Tyler is good to you and that your trunks catch up.
Stunning. Again the work of Joel behind the lens? Mag, just mag… I love that you use your babies in the shots. Looking forward to seeing some JMF yarn in person this weekend – FINALLY!!!
SOOOOOOOOOOO Beautiful!!! I’d best hurry up and get done with the winter stuff so I can enjoy knitting the spring/summer stuff!!! I love the slightly retro look of everything. It is quintessentially feminine. Just beautiful.
Freebies?! Yay! Everything looks fabulous, I cannot wait to get this book!
Oh my goodness! What a treat to see such lovely knitwear modeled by so many of my favorite people!
Beautiful. All of them are just BEAUTIFUL!!! LOVE the color in Bracken. Love the colors on all of them, actually. Can’t wait to see the yarns in person. You’ve outdone yourself!
Wow! These are all so beautiful! I love Amari and I can’t believe you are giving it away for free. That is so generous! It’s a lovely pattern. The yarn looks to be a fairly light weight, judging by the gauge on the patterns. Is it sport? I’d love to know more about it! Also….colors! I wanna see the line! (Okay…being a bit impatient. Sorry.)
Erin holds a chicken like it was a loaf of bread, completely normal. I’m impressed!
BEAUTIFUL!
Absolutely lovely! Which to do first? I forward the info to my LYS.
Kristine
I think I want to knit everything in this book!
Fabulous! Congratulations to all involved! Off to speak to my LYS…I’m gonna NEED this book.
MarieGrace is a fantastic designer- you couldn’t have paired with better, as the designs prove. I am so thrilled with these designs!!
Gorgeous patterns. It looks like a really fun photoshoot, and you did a great job of keeping the models and knitwear clean!
I love the contrast edgings on so many of the designs, and the overall simplicity. These are great!
Susie, you have definitely outdone yourself. And if Erin ever wants to stop running a farm, I think she has a career in modelling! The photographs are stunning and I love that they give a glimpse into your lifestyle. Sitting in the big city behind a desk I am envious
I am in love with Wren, Libby, Laurel & Kiri and I’m sure I could recreate them in crochet if I had a bit of time.
Thanks for sharing with your most adoring fans!!!
This is a wonderful collection of patterns! I would love to knit every single one of them (and I almost never feel that way about pattern books). Good job! (to everyone involved in the whole process)
I love every. single. design. What a stunning collection. Off to tell every knitter I know! The photos are amazing and every critter got an “awww” from me!
I loved them all, all the designs, all the knitters, the animals and all the models. The models were all beautiful, but real people. This fits so well with your farm philosophy, the down to earth quality, albeit a gorgeous earth. I felt my blood pressure lower as I looked and dreamed.
I like Myrtle and the shawl and …ok, let’s be honest, I like them all.
Kudos to Marie Grace and all the knitters!
Usually I’ll find 1, maybe 2 designs in a booklet that I like, but this collection and the others are the exception to the rule. Wow.
