And All The Inappropriately Capitalized Words That Go Along With Both Of Those Things!
Today we are super excited because we’ve been keeping a TIGHT lid on this one. Well, actually, we really haven’t. It’s been leaked, hinted at and even alluded to left, right and center. But now we can officially tell you all about our exciting new collaboration with Anna Branner of Anna Branner’s Cloth n’ Clay!
Thanks to the suggestion of one of our favorite aunties of all time, Lauria, we approached Anna, who as you already know from a Giveaway Friday from a few weeks ago, makes absolutely beautiful pottery, and asked her if she would make us a line of JMF specific yarn bowls and mugs. We were so excited by this it felt like we were asking her to marry us. Well guess what?
She said yes!
So here’s what she’s made for us. First, lovely, beautiful yarn bowls with the JMF logo on the front:
What’s so awesome about these hand made yarn bowls is that each one has a little something special and completely unique on the back. You won’t know what you’re getting, but it’s guaranteed to be adorable and a half! Here’s a little sneak peek of what you might find if you order one:
(and my personal favorite)
Charlie Peeg!
There are others, too, of course, I just wanted to show you a few.
The other thing Miss Anna has for us are her beautiful coffee mugs:
I love them! What’s especially great about these coffee mugs, and you wouldn’t necessarily know this just by looking at them, but you can ALSO make TEA in them! So, let’s say coffee isn’t your particular drink, that’s just fine! These mugs make tea and coffee taste equally wonderful. You know, I don’t want to incite any riots here, but I’ll bet if you were a hot chocolate fan… no, I don’t want to press my luck here. But I’m just saying, you could try it.
These lovely mugs and yarn bowls are dishwasher and microwave safe, and currently waiting for their forever homes. You can find them in our shop and pick out one of your very own. In addition, Anna will be at shearing selling the yarn bowls, mugs AND the little sheepies in person.
Now yes, this is Friday, so don’t you fret lil campers, we are prepared like Boy Scouts. To kick off this exciting new collaboration, we are giving away a mug AND an adorable little sheepy for one lucky winner!
To enter, go to her blog and answer this question, “If you could sit down to a hot beverage of your choice, with any one person (living or dead) who would it be and why?” *NOTE: Some people are having a problem commenting on Anna’s blog. If you have a problem with that then please just leave your answer on ours.* Then come back here and tell us what else you want Anna to make for us (cereal bowls, anyone?) A very lucky winner will be chosen randomly on Monday and will be drinking their hot drink of choice within DAYS! THAT COULD BE YOU!!

I’d like to see the sort of teacups that don’t have handles and look like little bowls. Congrats on your latest collaboration!
What a great addition to the Juniper Moon Shop! I really enjoyed reading the responses on Anna’s blog and left my own comment.
Ooo! Cereal bowls would be fun! So would lunch-sized plates. Not dessert plates, not dinner plates, but that size in between that I cannot find anywhere.
I love this! Just commented on Anna’s blog. I collect ceramic vases, and I’d just love one with a friendly sheep smiling at me. Cereal bowls would also be great.
Hi Susie, I was having trouble commenting on Anna’s Blog.
I would have a Hot cup of Tea with my Aunt who passed away 6 years ago. Besides my parents, she was the one who raised me and instilled strong values in my life. I would not be the woman I am today without her. Just to have those few moments with her would be more precious and priceless than anything else.
I would love to see little dessert plates with Charley and Churchill on them. Their picture + witty (dessert like) piggy saying = A Hotcake Item!
Cereal bowls would be adorable! And coasters, and plates, and spoon rests, and decorative tiles…Anna’s got mad skillz!
I love the chicken on since my Mom loved chickens! I would have a hot cup of tea with my husband since he is my best friend in the world!
Thanks!
Man, I’m one of the ones having a hard time commenting. Blogger must not like my computer today, her blog wasn’t the only one I had a problem with.
I’d love to sit down with my great-grandparents. They emigrated from Hungary back about 191-, and I’d love to hear about their experience. They didn’t share much with their children or grandchildren, so I don’t know much.
And I’d LOVE to see little dessert plates with a raised lip so that my food doesn’t roll off it
I agree, cereal bowls sound awesome! I have a real thing for footed mugs with handles, like Irish coffee mugs. Those would be so cool!
I would like to see the style of “rice bowl” that is cupped in the hand, with just your thumb going through the handle (“thumble”?)
I love her stuff and left a comment. Thanks to you both for the contest.
I would love to see a vase, how beautiful would that make flowers look!
Thanks for the chance.
Spindles maybe? Or some kind of knitting needle/crochet hook as decoration?
I have to second the decorative tiles, which could also be used under hot serving dishes. Another thought – soup mugs – short with a handle.
I’d love for her to make little honey pots!
Tried commenting on Anna’s blog, but it just wasn’t taking!
I’d love to sit down to a cup of cocoa with my great-grandma Lula, who passed when my grandma was a girl. I’ve always been fascinated by stories of her, and think she would be a lot of fun to sit and visit with!
I think it would be fun if Anna could make sheep salt and pepper shakers… but thats just me!
I think bigger mugs with bigger handles and bowls any kind.
Spoon rests, yes! Maybe some flat sheepies for hanging on the wall, or as ornaments? Off to comment on her blog!
I would love to have tea or coffee with Eleanor Roosevelt. I think I would have had a lot in common with her. I also think we need someone like her now. I would love it if nesting mixing bowls were made-so cool!
Wine goblets. Big ones.
I would choose to have tea with our own shepherdess Susan. I’ve known her since her first fiber farm on MV and these days only get to see her for a brief while at Rhinebeck. So I would love nothing more than sitting down with her having tea out of her own beautiful JMF mugs.
Ice cream or cereal bowls would be wonderful too.
I think kitchen canisters would be great! You know, to hold your spatulas and wooden spoons and whisks. The mugs and bowls are beautiful though.
I tried to enter, sorry it didn’t work.
I have a 5 inch flower pot that sits on my countertop that holds my wooden spoons. I think a hand thrown pot would be awesome.
Oh, such wonderful things she could make! Bells/chimes, stitch markers/charms, spoon rests, chopstick rests (that are little balls of yarn!), napkin rings, salt and pepper…
I’d go for some cereal bowls, the same shape as the yarn bowls, in other words, deep, not broad and shallow.
Or maybe a bowl for my yogurt and fruit lunches, to hold about 4 cups.
I can’t post to Anna’s blog so am posting both responses here:
1. I’d spend another day with my grandmother Lilly and I’d make sure she meets my children and my husband. She passed away in 1995, before these wonderful people became part of my life.
2. I think she should make pet food bowls in the JMF motif!
I succeeded on commenting on the other blog.
I like the ideas of soup mugs and utensil holding pots!
A big bowl for the kitchen table.
I think little plates for a treat or english muffin, to go with the tea mugs.
I think that small vases with the barn or little animals would be adorable!
A good footed soup bowl!
Tried to comment on her blog and was unsuccessful. I would sit down with Eve and ask why she was so tempted by an apple, she was already in paradise. I would love to see bowls .
Oh, these are so cute! So, if I could have Anna make anything I wanted, it would have to be the exact same mug, only bigger and with an insert to brew loose tea. Ans maybe a lid to keep everything warm or to turn over and set the tea insert on after brewing.
Hi,
I’m having trouble commenting on Anna’s blog so I’m commenting here. Thanks for the option to use your blog.
I would have a cup of coffee with my Dad and ask him all the things I never thought to ask him when he was alive.
I would like to see bowls also!
BIG bowls! Big enough to mix dough in.
I was able to comment on Anna’s blog–a surprise because usually I have not been able to make any comment stick. Success must have come because I sent warm feelings for all the beautiful pieces she showed. At the moment, I have nothing to add to the suggested line additions others have noted, but I will come back if I think of something.
Beverly
These are so wonderful. I would love to see little kitchen pots for small plants or herbs.
I tried to comment but it didn’t work. I would share a cup of Earl Grey with my 94 year young grandma! I like the larger cup with an insert for loose tea with a lid idea!
Whaat about Christmas tree ornaments????!!!!!!
Elizabeth Zimmermann is someone I believe would be a delight to have tea with. I have all her books and a dvd as well. A tea pot to match the mugs would be very useful and lovely to show off when company comes.
Commented there, and as to what else she can do–how about decorative plates that you can hang on the wall? Some of her stuff is just too gorgeous to sit in a cupboard.
Commented there. Would love to see a snack plate and small bowl to go with the mugs. You need snacks with your hot beverages…
I posted with Anna. . What a great addition!
Oh.. And besides commenting there , I forgot to add my wishlist item here: teapot!!
These are really adorable! I left a comment at Anna´s blog.
Wow. Fantastic ceramics! I’m tempted to place an order … And how about a small dish for pie or cake to place next to that cup of coffee or cake?
If I could I’d sit down with my bestest friend Alan, who suddenly died of heart failure a couple of years ago at the age of 35. The other night I had a dream in which we met up and I could catch up with him and tell him how life here continued without his presence. It was weird and beautiful, I woke up with a smile on my face.
I think a rice/noodle bowl that has holes to balance your chopsticks in would be great! or trivets are always handy for something , and provide such a great space for illustration!
I’d love a little bowl for ice cream – just big enough for one scoop – so I won’t be tempted to eat a cereal bowl sized serving!
I left a comment on Anna’s blog. I love, love, love the coffee/tea mugs. I would like one the the little sheepies too. And maybe a goat?! Or a Meremma sheep dog!
