So cute. Was at the MN state fair yesterday and spent time talking to a women who raises oxen. She said they are very good at keeping away coyotes, wolves, etc. A few of her female ox treed a bear. So when are ya gonna get an ox?

Linda S September 3, 2010 at 2:20 pm

Susie, Details!! Please. I am a total sucker for a whiskery little muzzle, but that is too much. Give up the goods on him/her, OK?

HilaryGermany (now in England!) September 3, 2010 at 2:23 pm

Are you gonna train the mini-pig to dig truffles?? Gotta find some recipes for ya!! Easiest would be truffles in extra virgin olive oil — gives the oil a lovely scent and flavour.

Patty P September 3, 2010 at 2:47 pm

My son (4) loves looking at the animal pics, but today he kept calling the newest member of the farm a guinea pig. Then, tried to cut the fiber tail off my spinning wheel . . .I think he has it in for me today.

But the pig is simply adorable!

Anna September 3, 2010 at 4:22 pm

GrandmaTutu (Mary) September 3, 2010 at 5:47 pm

OMG . . . I love her!!! I would love it if you named her Sadie–my cousin, whose birthday is tomorrow, had a pig when they were growing up whose name was Sadie. She was his best, best friend–he just loved his Sadie. Of course I understand if you have a name picked out, but what fun it would be to tell Dan your pig was named after his Sadie–on his birthday. HAHAHA what a kick in the pants that would be!!

I LOVE that you got a pig. They’re smart, clean, really loyal animals. Totally love!!! xoxo

GrandmaTutu (Mary) September 3, 2010 at 5:49 pm

Oops — I just checked, and Dan’s birthday is 9/5–not 9/4. But . . . he lives in Germany, and isn’t it the 5th there when it’s the 4th here?? At least later in the day it is, isn’t it? Anyhoo!! What a sweet face!!!

Carolyn C September 3, 2010 at 5:52 pm

From the look on this piglet’s face in the last shot, seems to know good times have just begun.
