Okay, normally a recipe that calls for a can of Diet 7-Up would horrify me but something about this Diet Lemon Cupcake recipe is calling to me. I just have to know what they taste like. I assume they will be awful but I need to know.

Blueberry Pie Ice Cream, on the other hand, looks brilliant!

I roasted up a couple of trays of Susie Middleton’s Slow-Roasted Tomatoes this week. So delicious! I’ll be filling the freezer with these babies this summer and thanking myself all winter.

I have so many questions about this story. She “had them” dug up? By whom? Where does one find someone to dig up their dead husband and sister? Was it the same guy both times? And why didn’t anyone at the cemetery notice that bodies were being removed?!? I love the neighbor who insists, “she’s no weirdo.” Kills me.

  1. As a twin, I understand. I don’t agree with her, but I understand. There is a bond that you have that non-twin people can’t really understand.
Just picked 2 gallons of local blueberries, and that ice cream looks heavenly.
Keep up the good work, I love your blog.

  2. LOVE the family picture collage! Fantastic idea!

  3. Your PSYWL postings are always like winning the lottery, a little, to me! THANKS!

  4. Those ginger puddings look so good that I literally just called up my partner to see if he could pick up some ginger on the way home. Fantastic!

  5. omg, alton brown grilled pizza on the outdoor grill on the food network show ‘good eats’ a few days ago. he GRILLED pizza OUTSIDE! so you don’t have to turn the oven on inside!!!! i’m totally doing that this summer. i bet his instructions are on the food network website. he had a whole thing about making the dough the ‘quick and easy’ way – with multiple rising and resting times – but i’m gonna do it with my ABin5min/day bread dough.

  6. There’s no link for the digging bodies up. Please, I must know what the heck that’s about.

  7. It does sound awful with diet soda, but my daughter is allergic to eggs and we make cake with soda and it is so much better than any egg replacer. For Lemon, go with a regular Sprite, and a little lemon glaze for the top – delicious. You know, if you can’t eat eggs anyway.

I just found your blog and I am enjoying looking around.
