I love watching my chickens come book it from one side of the yard to where I am when I open the door, it’s HILARIOUS. Normally they’ll come running so fast they have to flap their wings to get there faster and bawk-bawking the whole way. Your peeps are so cute too, all running in a line behind momma hen!

Thanks for sharing!

My favorite part was your chicken call!!!

But I died of cuteness when the baby chicks ran up peeping.

I kind of would be really excited to see what happened when you fed chickens Vodka watermelon. Just sayin’.

I also nearly died of the cute when I saw the wee little ones come booking in from where ever they were. So much fun!

don’t the chickens roam the pastures, doesn’t that help with pest control? Or do they not go for the stuff that becomes internal parasites for the sheep?

Is it OK if I consider this your birthday gift to me? Thanks! The chickens are very entertaining.

A new moment for me. Although I’ve been to the farm a couple of times, somehow I missed hearing you call the chickens. Love it!

“the running of the chickens”
hahahahahahahahaha

news flash
“no chickens (or humans) were harmed today during the annual running of the chickens. the watermelon, thrown by SHEPHERD SUSIE was carefully guarded before thrown to insure no one spiked it with vodka or tequila.
all chickens and chicks attending were engaged except one who mysteriously wandered off towards another pasture. more on this sweet & seedless event to come…”
