Where IS Chicken World? I thought it must be a mail order place when you mentioned it before in the Blog. Is it in Fork Union or Palmyra? Great piece!
It’s in Fork Union. I can not tell you how much I love this store and the man who owns it. He’s just good people.

OMG, when you mentioned Chicken World the other day I went nuts over the idea, and kept mentioning it to people–I was just in love with the thought that out there, somewhere, was a place where you could go pick out chickens! Like a Home Depot of chickens, with all of your chicken needs fulfilled in one place! And now there’s a whole post about it–I am in heaven.
Great writing, Susan! It deserves to be laminated and put up on the wall @ Chicken World. Motivated me enough to look up where the closest poultry farm is near me. I think I’m going to get me some fresh eggs!

Loved the article! I live in San Antonio, on 3/4 acre, and we have discovered that city code will allow us to have 12 chickens. Now to find a Chicken World equivalent in central Texas
