Beautiful job photographing those Hummers. They can be so hard to get good pictures of and yours are lovely!

Our hummer season is so short and in two parts, a couple weeks in the spring and a couple weeks near the end of summer since we are right in the middle of a migration path…. sigh I miss hummers.

WOW! Amazing shots! That humming bird that Maggie rescued from the barn, must have gone and told all his hummingbird friends about the coolest place in town.

The Ruby-Throated hummer looks like a fledging!

I’m telling you – that property is sheer magic. Amazing! And that’s some fancy camera work too.

How thrilling. We had the privlege of watching a mother hummer build her nest and hatch her tiny eggs outside our neighbor’s kitchen window overhang 2 years ago. It was absolutely magical.

Wow, brilliant photography. Good job!

Your photos are so much better than any I’ve ever been able to get. I just enjoy seeing them in real life when I can and then it’s gone till next spring. But it makes them really special (we only get the ruby-throated hummingbirds here to nest, though they say others travel through on their way to somewhere else. I’ve yet to see them. They are beautiful but very territorial. Don’t want to be in their way when they are fighting! You could lose an eye.

Nice work photographing them! I sure enjoy seeing the hummers at my feeder. They were late arriving in northern Virginia this year.

I wish I could take such great pictures of my birds!

WOW!!! Our little hummingbirds are like a blur; we can never take any good shots of them. Were you outside when you took these? Was your camera on a tripod? These are AMAZING photos!!! Enjoyed every single one of them.

WHAT!?!?! These photos are unbelievably amazing! Great job capturing the hummingbirds. How wonderful!

Ellen July 3, 2010 at 12:11 pm

What wonderful shots! Just moved to Florida, but no hummingbirds in my yard here. :( When people call hummingbirds little flying jewels, they are right and you have captured them magnificently! I’m wondering what species the non-ruby throated one is.
