You are using too much detergent in your dishwasher and washing machine. (via the amazing Rebecca Blood, whose blog you should be reading.)
This NY Times article about Dana Barnes’ Felted Rugs knocked me out. If you watch the slide slow that accompanies the piece, you’ll see the indoor swing in Dana’s NYC loft. Love it and found more here.
I want to have several summer dresses made with Heather Bailey’s Nicey Jane fabric collection. (Via Wooly Mama, my friend Amy.)
Oh how I adore these cupcake stands.
And these jam pots.
Love this. Time to start looking for vintage equestrian ribbons at estate sales. (Danny Seo and I did a segment together for the CBS Morning Show a million years ago and he is smart and lovely.)
The best round-up I’ve ever seen of those photo books you design yourself. (Via Not Martha)
Y’all know I’m a sucker for packaging and these Clean Air Trees knock me out.
Although these don’t go with my house at all, I’m pretty excited that someone has finally designed a sleek, modern-looking ceiling fan. They are also much more efficient than traditional ceiling fans and they move a lot more air.
Perfect gift for graphic designers and typography geeks- chocolate moveable type.
Bobbins Bicycles bills themselves as the “most beautiful bike shop in Great Britain” and there website proves it. (via my sister Carrie in Denmark)
Sweet honey bee dog collar.
1 pound bundles of wool felt odds and ends from joggles.com seem like a good thing to have on hand, no?
Has anyone used these square knitting needles and are they really easier on your hands?
Lovely roving from Black Trillium
Sheep races in the U.K.

Who knew the UK had such a varied, wonderful, and eclectic culture? Must get out of my house and go to the sheep races more.
I love the perfectly British expressions on the sheep.
The author of the dishwasher article in the NY Times is one of our clients! We’re representing her book that is going to be coming out soon.
I have a several pairs of of the square needles and I love them! I have tendonitis in my wrist and I can knit longer with them than I can with round needles. I know some people don’t like the joins with the circulars, but I’ve never had a problem with them. Definitely worth a try!
Another tip I’ve learned about laundry: Give up your chemical-laden fabric softener and use white vinegar. Your laundry will be soft and won’t smell like vinegar, and best of all, it cleans out your washer with every load. I made the switch months ago, and I love it!
LOVE the square needles! I have several sets – a friend of mine, Courtney, is Kollage’s owner’s niece. Haven’t gotten the circs yet since they are not interchangable.
I predict many broken washers crammed with felting rugs among the readers of the blog.
Thanks for sharing so many fun things!
I thought this knitting-related project from Nancy at GettingPurlyWithIt was worth sharing, too. She is knitting 100 poppy flowers and plans to give them away anonymously with positive messages and words of wisdom. what a treat to be the finder!

The sheep jockeys – and that they even gave them jockeys – kill me.
And Hawkeye would look VERY handsome in that bee collar…
cool links! Awe, wonder what ever happened to our ribbons from equestrian shows, gram always kept them at the barn. Forgot about them till now!
Ah! I just unloaded my equestrian ribbons from 4H last fall!
Just seconding the praises of the square needles. I enjoy using them, as it relieves the slight pressure you have to put on round needles to keep them in place as you knit.
