The lawnmower that came with my house wouldn’t start today. I was feeling kind of bad about it, because we had a farm stay starting this afternoon, and I always want the farm to look it’s best when we have company coming. It took a good ten minutes for me to figure out that I had a whole pasture full of lawnmowers at my disposal. So I closed the gate that leads to the road and let the boys and yearlings out to graze.
In other news, Statler continues to win the hearts of everyone who sees him. I think it’s the wonky ears.

Oh my god I love that little goat!!!
I think it’s hysterical that you actually considered mowing the lawn. That grass is hay money!!
And how green it’s looking!!!
And Statler is adorable and I want to squeeze him.
Thanks for the update!
OMG….what a precious little face!
I hear that wonky is the new black
Now that’s the way to get the lawn mowed!
Was that Victoria we saw?? And if I had lawn mowers like that, I might actually consider having a lawn…
Statlerrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Thank you for the fresh pics! I’m so so SO glad he’s doing well. I want to kiss his horn buds. Does that sound dirty?
When I was little I had a book about a sheep in India (I think) who’s job it was to mow the lawn at the palace (in India) in pretty patterns. He liked to do concentric circles on the hill. They tried to replace him with a lawnmower but the kids were so sad that he was brought back. I wish I could recall the name of that book (or the story a bit more clearly!)
I WANT THAT BOOK! Maybe one of our librarian friends can help us find it…
OMG . . . I had to laugh and clap my hands. First, those are some happy, happy animals–the way they look around is totally hysterical. “Hmmmm . . . I should be on the other side of that fence–what’s up???” And those adorable ears and big eyes and sweet lips (so kissable!!!!) just crack me up. They’s just delicious, I swear!!! Thanks for the pix, Susie–great way to start my day, with a smile!! xoxo
What a great place you have! Look so pretty!
The wonky ears and the goofy grin that he seems to have… He is cute…
Those boys and yearlings look pretty happy with your solution!
He is so adorable!!
Can we adopt Statler, he is adorable. I LOVE the environmentally friendly lawn mowing – well done!
There may be money to be made by renting out your “lawn mowers” by the day.
I love those ears!! I would like to rent your lawnmowers please, as the grass is growing by the minute after all the rain we have had!
This is in the new Spin-Off – http://www.rent-a-ruminant. Okay, so they are in Seattle…
I was so close to throwing him in my car and driving away! It will be so hard to leave on Sunday!
I absolutely LOVE Statler!!! I want to nibble on those little ears and get nuzzles from that little muzzle! Please give him a hug and a squeeze for me!
