‘Whispers of Spring’ Pattern Giveaway

by Susan on March 23, 2010

Designer Christina Wall has designed a beautiful cowl using Juniper Moon Farm’s sport weight yarn as part of her new “Whispers of Spring” Collection.

The whole collection is breathtakingly lovely! Obviously the cowl has a special place in my heart, but I’m also head-over-heals for the cardi. And the hat. And the shawl. Okay, I love the whole collection.

Not only did Christina write a sweet review of our yarn and send me a copy of the pattern for myself, she has generously given me two copies of the “Leaves of Spring” Cowl to giveaway. Thanks, Christina!

If you would like to be entered to win a PDF of the “Leaves of Spring” Cowl and one skein of Juniper Moon Farm yarn (in our choice of colors) to knit it with, leave a comment on this post telling me what you are most looking forward to now that Spring has sprung. All entries must be posted by Friday, March 26th at Midnight EST. Two winners will selected as random. Winner’s will has 48 hours from the time of the announcement to email my to claim their prize. In the event that the prizes are unclaimed, another winner will be selected at random. One entry per person please!

Good luck!

Still having daylight when I get home, so I can walk the dogs! Asparagus, strawberries, the redbuds blooming…….

Sara Byron March 23, 2010 at 8:15 pm

Wow! 100 comments already. But it can’t hurt to try. I am looking forward to a ton of things this spring. But most of all, is that my son will come home from his first year at college. I miss him a bunch and can’t wait for his return. Stinky socks, unflushed toilet and all. After that, my next fun will be attacking the garden – a more practical anticipation. Love the new kids!

I so look forward to planting things – herbs, flowers, vegies. I don’t have a green thumb, but enjoy the little plants I can grow.

I am looking forward to not wearing long johns and fleece. I am looking forward to flower bulbs finally poking green shoots through the piles of leaves and best of all, no more snow in my yard…

Ellen March 24, 2010 at 6:56 am

I look forward to walking outside and not feeling the cold bite that makes you scrunch your whole body up. Just feeling the warm sunshine bathing my face and taking long walks by the Hudson is my idea of Springy goodness. Oh yeah, I’m ready!

naughtyknots March 24, 2010 at 6:56 am

WOW – that cowl is so awesome! It reminds me of tulip leaves with the color and the pattern!

This Spring I am looking forward to great changes in my life and living more authentically as myself. I just resigned from a corporate job with plans anddreams of teaching children again and focusing more intently on my art!

I’m most looking forward to JMFF Spring Shearing. Have been working hard all winter on dissertation writing, with breaks to keep 17yo DS on track for college next year and earn living as shop manager. I have crazy cabin fever, wanderlust, and hunger for nice/fun people & beautiful places. Spring Shearing will be perfect!

The bluebirds are back and looking for a home. They checked out the 2 “bluebird condos” and I think at least one pair has put down a deposit! Now that is spring

I’m waiting for the spring bulbs to come up.

Megan March 24, 2010 at 6:45 pm

I’m really looking forward to the cherry blossoms and other flowering trees here in DC. They only last for a few weeks, but are so painfully beautiful. It will be my last chance to see them for a few years, so this one will be extra special. Some of the redbuds are already out – I’m expecting peak blooms in just a few days!

Arja March 24, 2010 at 6:51 pm

long bike rides!!! even though we our climate is supposed to be mild, I’ve hardly cycled due to all the snow and cold we had over the past months. now that spring has sprung, it is finally time to hop on our bicycles again and make loooong bike rides. it’s so good to catch fresh air again and get sore legs.

Chris S March 24, 2010 at 8:01 pm

Being outside in the fresh air and getting started on the yard work (raked the whole yard last weekend!). And, of course, watching the kids on lambcam.

Jersey Jessie March 24, 2010 at 8:08 pm

Spring means that I can start canoeing! Whoopee!

Genevieve March 24, 2010 at 8:28 pm

I look forward to no more cold noses, open windows, and the lack of a threat of snow (which is not over yet… go Mass!) Also getting to have my plants on the porch!

Barbara form Virginia March 24, 2010 at 9:13 pm

I am looking forward to getting my two year old to play in the soil with me.

Vickie March 24, 2010 at 9:24 pm

I know this sounds a bit odd but you have to try it so see what I mean. There are a row of trees that line a median to my subdivison and every spring they are covered in very tiny white blossoms. I like to see the wind blow the blossoms and watch them waft to the ground like spring snow. Sometimes after I drive a few feet past them, I pull over to the side of the road and watch the blossoms blowing in the wind from my rear view mirror. It just makes me smile. I have been watching this same group of trees for 16 years and I look forward to watching them every single spring!

Evie March 24, 2010 at 9:26 pm

I’m looking forward to sunlight as I drive to work and sunlight after I’ve come home from work. I’m looking forward to not feeling like I’m in hibernation! I’m looking forward to the opportunity to get outside after work and get some fresh air and exercise and feeling safe about it!

Sylvia March 24, 2010 at 10:02 pm

Spring is when I can walk without snow boots!

Marci March 24, 2010 at 10:46 pm

I am so excited to be able to go out without a heavy coat on — Maryland was really snowy this winter.

Lori aka knittingfool March 25, 2010 at 12:02 am

Easy peasy: April 24.

Julie March 25, 2010 at 12:58 am

Warm weather and sunshine and driving with my windows down and the spring peepers in the trees and no more bulky winter coats and colors in the landscape besides gray! Winter gets so grungy and tired around here by the time March rolls around.

Sternenelfin March 25, 2010 at 1:18 am

I love the spring for all the colors in the nature that coming out :-) ). And the smell in the air … And to see the lambs growing .. And to feel the warmer getting shafts of sunlight on my skin… :-) ))

Bri March 25, 2010 at 2:54 am

Being able to feel my toes! =D

roseknits24-7 March 25, 2010 at 7:12 am

My favorite spring thing? Brand new leaves. Oak leaves the size of a pinkie nail, in the most beautiful, fragile, almost fuzzy green. Hard to believe they’re the same leaves I’ll be raking bythe ton, when they’re huge, brown, crispy, and all over the lawn in November.

Laurie March 25, 2010 at 7:35 am

I love watching all the signs of life returning- snowdrops, crocus, blue scillia popping up, and cardinals, blue jays and robins returning.
