Probably something you would like…

I am a total sucker for packing and this Hanger Tea very nearly killed me.

I’m not really sure how I got interested in paper hot air balloons but I think they are amazingly cool, especially when lots of them are launched at night. If you’re a good stuff-maker, there are loads of tutorials like this own for making your own. If, like me, you’re not such a good maker of stuff, you can order a pre-made version here.

I am completely charmed by very nearly everything at Rifle Paper Co.

I saw An Education this weekend. It’s beautifully shot and styled, and very thinky.

Artist/illustrator Lisa Congdon, who once painted a picture of one of our ewes, has a new photo blog called A Collection a Day. She only started posting on 1/1 but I’m already in love with it. It’s amazing how these humble objects become so lovely in groups.

My friend Jane Hurst is one of the most amazing women I know. She just retired from her Department Chair position at Gallaudet University and her new blog- Retired, but Not Retiring- will chronicle her next adventures. I know you’ll love her as much as I do!

I can’t believe that I’ve never blogged about Lavender and Limes, Christine Chitnis’s blog. Christine just returned from the trip of a life time to India and her photographs are absolutely stunning.

I love crush party and  I spent the better part of one lazy Sunday afternoon devouring this photo blog that’s a sort of online inspiration board. And, even though I’d met Champagne Maker (yes, that’s her real name and she is wonderful enough to live up to it) in real life, you can’t imagine how surreal it was for me to stumble of this photo:

because I have that couch. And that rug. And OMG that’s IS my couch!

I’ve been watching the British series Kingdom on hulu it’s fantastic. Great characters and writing.

What are you watching, reading, swooning over? Post your link in the comments.

Susan, I love, love the “Crush Party”. She has an eye for some fantastic things, I really found it hard to disagree with a single one of them… Thanks for sharing, it will be on must sees each morning along with one of my favorites… dogoftheday.com I just love seeing all the dogs and the stories… I even submitted Kieras story and she was selected as dog of the day.

Get Clatterford!!! It’s available on Netflix…British comedy series written by Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French (of Absolutely Fabulous fame). Fantastic! Lots of sheep and farm stuff, features the local women’s guild and their antics. Dry, funny, wonderful!

Erin January 12, 2010 at 9:05 am

OH damn another fab show to get hooked into. I adore Stephen Fry. That other one someone mentioned…Clatterford…have to check that out too. I should be working but instead am watching Kingdom Bad Erin, naughty Erin. Back to work. I might have to get the hanger tea as a piece of art so very cooool.

Thanks for mentioning my blog! Writing is really fun so far – a great creative outlet. And Susie is my blog guru, so this mention means a lot to me. Thanks and hugs!

Ooh, ooh, and Clatterford? Love a new series, with comedy and sheep no less. I am a huge fan of Jeeves and Wooster, which has limited sheep but a very cute Westie.

Over the weekend, I devoured the 3rd season of the Tudors! on DVD. Whether historically correct or not, the acting is spectacular, the costumes breathtaking and you just can’t believe that a monarch could be so cruel – ok, yes, I can believe it – but WOW.
