YAY!

The Salvation Army has decided to reverse it’s policy of checking the immigration status of children in need of Christmas toys.

Wow, I’m just shocked that they were doing that at all. I’m glad they’ve changed course, but I have to say, when did God make them the immigration police?

It’s not clear how much they are lightening up…..besides, they discriminate in their employee hiring/treatment policies, and they get government money, so they shouldn’t be.

They discriminate against many different groups. I am not surprised that they tried to do this.

My father-in-law, who clearly remembered the Great Depression and the War to End All Wars, would not give to the SA because, he said, they made the bums pray before they could get food.
NOTE: To people of that era, and to my FIL, “bum” is not a pejorative, just a fact of the depression.
