Miss Luccia. Commonly known as Lucy.

Thanks so much to everyone for your suggestions. I really, really wanted to like Luna but it just didn’t feel right. I was really drawn to Wendy’s suggestion:

Picture 4Then my mom called and suggested Lucy and I knew we had a winner.

Lucy is a snuggle bug. When I go out the barn to check on her, she immediately climbs into my lap, buries her head in my shoulder and snoozes. She reminds me so much of Biscotti at this age.

I can’t wait for you all to meet Lucy. Don’t forget, we’re having a Solstice Party on December 19th here at the farm. It’s potluck and all are welcome.

Well, I’m partial to the name already, as it’s the one we selected for my daughter. we call her LuLu for short.

In the middle of the night I thought “Butter”. For the dog, of course. But Lucy is better.

The 13th of this month is her day! Santa Lucia day! Celebrate with some coffee, cocoa and baked goodies for breakfast in bed :)

SO cute! And you can tell she really feels like a big girl now that she has a job. Take lots of pictures while she’s growing up, will you?

I can’t believe I helped to name little Lucy!! Now I’ll plan on visiting at some point! I LOVE spinning the cormo but want to dye it first and can’t decide what color!!!

Oh my, and I even forgot that I made St. Lucia buns yesterday. Can’t find my recipe to type it in here. The other thing one shares on Lucia Day is pepparkakor or ginger cookies. A great coincidence…lucky puppy!

Lucy, Lucy, Lucy. Love Little Lucy. She looks as soft and fluffy as the cormo top. Hmmmm…do the Maremma’s shed much?!

Jenny December 8, 2009 at 11:24 am

I actually really want to name my kid (no, not pregnant) Lucy, but something about Lucy Leonard just seems too cutesy. OMG but i could name her Lucy Olivia Leonard and her initials would be LOL!

Ok so anyway, I think the name is PERFECT and she is just the cutest damn puppy I’ve ever seen ever. Congratulations. :)

turtle December 8, 2009 at 12:12 pm
