Do you go business class or coach? Business is really worth the extra bucks. More room and your own snack car. :) But I also know how good it feels to be home after a long train ride. Enjoy the peace!

We took the train from LA to Reno a few years ago, wanting to enjoy the romance of a ride up into snowy mountains. We never quite managed to recapture the romance, though nothing major went wrong, Except one thing, and that was our fault: we failed to consider that most of the ride would be after dark. So much for train travel, and of course air travel is hellish these days, so we're sticking mostly to our own vehicle. The freedom of the open road. Hah.
