We made it!

by Susan on October 20, 2009

Just a quick note to let y’all know we made to the new farm in Virginia! I am exhausted from a wonderful weekend at Rhinebeck with my girls- two very late nights and long days- but it is so exciting to be home that I worked my backside off all day.

We got the entire kitchen unpacked and put away and most of the furniture in place. Tomorrow we will set up the office and try to get the rest of the boxes unpacked.  I’ll post more pics tomorrow but I wanted to let you know that I made it home safe and sound.

I also wanted to let you know that the 2010 Shares are now available for purchase in the shop. We are cutting the number of shares we are selling in half this year, so get yours while they last. We are offering Half Shares and Double Shares this year, and each level comes with it’s own set of shareholder benefits.

More soon!

XO

Susan, Carrie and Erin,
You all worked so hard to make this happen! It has been fun and hard to watch from the sidelines this time but you all did a great job under a lot of pressure.

It must be great to wake up this morning in your new house and barn. I can’t believe you have such a great barn! I am excited for you and the animals. Have fun unpacking. Get some rest, eat well and get those pictures up so we all can see and live it too!

At last! This feels so great for all of us, to know shepherds and flock are united in one beautiful place. Ahh, glorious. All blessings on this new chapter.

So glad you made it safely. How are the sheep and goats and guard dogs???? Forget the office, what is the *barn* like? (Anyone can have an office and many of us spend way too much time in them. But a barn, now that is the heart of a farm, just like a kitchen is the heart of the home). How many animals came with you?

Anne October 22, 2009 at 4:43 pm

Susan, when you take your pictures of the new farm and the sheep/goats, let us know which goats you brought with you – any famous names? :) Looking forward to seeing your new farm, and hearing about all the adventures you and Erin have getting everything settled. Blessings on your new farm and your fresh start!
