Dutch artistĀ Florentijn Hofman, has created a 9.5m tall by 11m long rubber duckie.

While we’re on the subject, I love This Peanut Looks Like a Duck, a site dedicated to all things duck-shaped. (via Cuteoverload)

King Arthur has finally made an unbleached cake flour! Can’t wait to try this.

I’m not so into aprons but I really like this one.

I love this story about a 106-year-old woman who knits blankets for hospitalized children.

Jim Lahey’s Pizza Bianca is all I want to ever eat again. That and sushi. And cake. Maybe this one.

Want to meet the new love of my life? Did you hear that Muck Boots? You’ve let me down for the last time!

I am thinking about making Pioneer Woman’s Cinnamon Rolls for holiday gifts this year. Anybody tried the recipe? I’m thinking of the variation with a coffee glaze.

Several of you have emailed to ask about the laser kitchen thermometer I was using in some Follow the Fleece pics. Erin’s dad sent it to us and it’s become an essential kitchen tool. I use it to make sure my pan it the right temp before pan searing and for a million other things.

Share your fabulous with me in the comments, please.

I tried the cinnamon rolls – you will LOVE them but might find it hard to not overindulge (I did). Tastes like a sister to Back Door Donuts apple fritter. Mmmmmm. I think it is the icing.

Great minds think alike Susie – I just posted my very own version of PSYWL on my blog. However, I bow to the master…. excellent collection.

ohhhhh guess what. Ree (Pioneer Woman) has a cookbook out and she’s gonna do a book signing in the City next month. Hopefully I’ll get to go. I love her recipes..but hate the nutritional info on them. Almost spoils all the fun

LOVED the website with the Wellies! I’ve been wearing Bog boots–very comfortable, especially for those of us with stronger (i.e., bigger) calf muscles. I wonder if the Hunters are available in bigger calf sizes…. ?

I am so tempted to run home right now, make cinnamon rolls, pizza bianca, and peanut butter bacon cookies, feast on them and eat nothing else for at least 3 weeks. mmm…

I may also add this recipe for simmering apples to the mix:

Shepherd Susie, I don’t think I can do it right, but someone really must share the “Goat Tears” YouTube clip that mydogpetey posted on the MVFF Ravelry board … just the greatest thing since that wedding dress you posted, IMO.

This recipe actually appeared in my church newsletter this week:
1 C sugar
1 1/3 c + 2 T flour
2 t bkg powder
1 t soda
1/2 t salt
2 t cinnamon
1/4 c or more of oil
2 eggs
1 1/4 c pureed leftovers, use any kind: tomatoes, pasta casserole (!!!!!!!!)

Combine first six ingredients, set aside. In seperate bowl mix eggs, oil and leftovers. Add to flour mixture. Bake in 9″ pan, 35 minutes, 350 degrees. Glaze while hot.

I think I will be making your yellow cake this weekend instead!
