My sweet young friend Lauria has developed a strong attachment to the members of our flock, especially the kids she watched being born this Spring. And while we were planning the flock giveaway, she made it very clear that if we wanted to see our Angora goats go to the best possible new home we’d have to cast our net very wide.

In an effort to make sure we get essays from as many qualified candidates as possible, Lauria has come up with a giveaway for helping us get the word out. And the prize is pretty fantastic. All you have to do is blog or post on facebook, in appropriate ravelry groups, etc using the original giveaway url. You can also tweet about the giveaway but you must use the Tweet This link on the original post.  We’ll track it with Google Blog Search for blog links and google site search for twitter.com links, then choose a winner at random among all the entries. Easy peasy, right?

And here’s what the lucky winner will receive, along with some info about the prize donors:

Frantic Fiber Fun
Giving Away: 360 yards of Alpaca / Bamboo Fingering Weight Yarn

PotterB
Giving Away: Custom-Glazed Yarn Bowl with both a hole and a slot for easy removal of your project.
I currently throw at Eastern Market Pottery in DC; I wouldn’t be able to do this without them. I have been fiddling with pottery tools for the knitter and spinner. Things are getting ramped up at the newly rebuilt studio (a fire destroyed it in 2007)–hence, the lack of yarn bowls currently available. I’m throwing more bowls before taking a hiatus due to a baby boy due December 25.

Stitchy Mushroom
Giving Away: Project Box of Winner’s Choice
Stitchy Mushroom started when my friends wanted me to make them the box bags I was making for my knitting projects. I sew up lots of my favorite fabrics: Japanese prints, oilcloths, anything with sheep, and of course, mushrooms! These box bags are perfect for your knitting, crochet, stitching projects or anything else you can fancy.

Waterloo Wools
Giving Away: 1240 Yards (4oz) Hand-Dyed Alpaca Lacewight Yarn in Blue Horizon
I’m a handspinner living in Waterloo, ON. I spin and occasionally dye fiber and yarn whenever I can–but I also work as a teacher/vice principal. Everything in Waterloo Wools is handspun, hand dyed, or handwoven. Custom orders are welcome for yarns, fibers, and handwoven creations, just let me know what you would like.

Who’s Got the Button
Giving Away: Whole Bunch of Buttons.
Come share in my find of oh so groovy, happy plastic buttons from the 1970’s!  Unadorned vintage buttons, altered buttons, clip-on earring buttons, and they are washable! – Have a look!

Wire Dreams Design
Giving Away: 5 Shawl Pins
Wire Dreams Design specializes in wire wrapped jewelry and polymer clay shawl pins. Shawl pins are handmade out of polymer clay, baked for the appropriate time and glazed for durability. All pins use recycled bamboo knitting needles for their closure so they’re great to use on those hand knitted favorites.

Amazing, right? Don’t thank me- I had next to nothing to do with it. But feel free to heap praise on Lauria.
P.S. Be sure to read the rules in italics above before blogging or posting.
UPDATE: I screwed up! Lauria had a plan and I misunderstood it. The winner will be chosen at random from everyone who helps spread the word on line. My bad!
