Hey guess what? I forgot to blog for a couple of days. Crazy, huh? I will make it up to you with some coolio pictures.
Remember senior pictures? How all the girls had their picture taken next to a tree? Well today was senior picture day on the farm.

Dimples again, cause I can’t get enough.
While I wasn’t blogging I was looking for inspiration for the Spring 2009 colorways. Here are some hints about what you can expect.
This is the Cliffs of Aquinnah. It’s on of the most beautiful spots on the Island and home to one of the five lighthouses.
I took my guests to Chilmark Pottery this week, one of my new favorite shops. The potter, Geoffry, does amazing work.
Here are some of my early experiments. I love the blue and the jade. I’m still fine tuning the orange.
Three more colors coming tomorrow. As soon as I settle on them and give them names I will post the colors in the shop for purchase. These colors are for the Spring 2009 Shares only! Please check your Paypal receipt if you are unsure which shares you have. There are so many of you and only one Erin and it takes her just as long to look it up as it will take you. I really, really don’t want her to quit!
While we’re on the subject of driving Erin crazy, have you moved since you purchased your share? If you have we need to know about it! Send you address change info to addresschange@fiberfarm.com. We can’t send you your yarn if we can’t find you.
Time to giveaway another wonderful Rhinebeck workshop!

Pretty! We have two, and only two, bowls from Chilmark Pottery but love them. They’re so gorgeous. We’d get more, but it seems like the shop is always closed when we’re there!
“senior picture day” is hilarious. why did all the girls have their picture taken next to a tree??
{{{Happy Dance!!!!}}}}I received my Gradience Colorway Jack’s Beach today. It is beautiful!!! Now to decide on a pattern. I’m thinking of a wrap.Any suggestions????? I want to show the colorway well.
I loved the senior day pics.
a photo of daisy with her mouth open – what a shock!
yvonne – i suggest the knitty clapotis as a nice wrap… http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATTclapotis.html
Yummmmmmmmmm. Love the pics, and Dimples is the sweetest thing.
I am sorely in need of a fiber animal fix; nearly went in search of a farm this last weekend. “Excuse me, I just need to snorgle your goat/sheep for a while. It’s OK, I know how to herd them.”
Susan! I had a dream about you last night (wiggles eyebrows). Do you ever get black sheep in the flock? Because in my dream, you randomly had a little black sheep and you made his fleece into lace weight. And then next thing I knew, in my dream I was knitting with beautiful, natural, dark lace yarn.
Just saying. Not that it’s strange that I’d be dreaming about you and the flock…
We all want a small herd of black sheep, Susan. Love the pictures! Excellent work!
OMG its me–I can not believe it!!! Sending my choices…thank you thank you. I don’t know what to say. Oh and I love the photos…we stayed at some cliffs about 11 yrs ago, I wonder if they are the same . My husband is a devoted fly fisherman, that’s one of the reasons I took up knitting–a way for me to sit nearby or wait at home when we are living our dream in retirement..porched house , near water……. XOXO
Wouldn’t that pottery make great yarn! I don’t know how you would dye it to get that subtle shift of color or that sheen but I love the thought of a sweater in it.
Dimples wants to come live here.
those colors are beautiful
i’m particularly fond of the orange
which reminds me of tangerine juice
and the sky before sunset
great photos of the girls
and wonderful pottery
xo
thanks for all you do
love

i can’t get enough Dimples either! that is one cute kiddo
i’m going to have to ask friends for a Spring Share for my b-day & x-mas this year. that is some seriously delicious yarn Susan!
Is Dimples on the island with you? Did you bring Maria Von Trapp, too? Dimples is certainly one cutie.
And how about that warm dark caramel brown on the lips of the cups in that pottery picture? THAT would be a nice color for yarn…hint hint….
Susan, I could take more of Dimples all day long….!
Cliffs of Aquinnah ……..who needs Ireland?
