Oh I can see so many things in y head made of this lovely yarn. Thanks for the opportunity to win some!

Anne Marie May 29, 2009 at 8:25 pm

Was just checking out your Ladies of the Lambcam. Beatrice is a beauty! I hope she contributes some of her warm, fuzziness to the winning yarn; which I would use to knit something like Gatsby in this issue if Interweave Knits. Like a long vest that can be worn as a dress or jumper.

Jen D. May 29, 2009 at 9:02 pm

Beautiful color!! It would make a great sweater. I’d love to make the owl sweater (http://needled.wordpress.com/2008/11/22/owls/) with it. It would be my first sweater!!

Laurie Knowles May 29, 2009 at 9:05 pm

It’s so gorgeous! I will make a carriage blanket for a colleague’s baby — expected in November, so a warm cuddly will be welcome.

Thanks for the great yarns you create.

Sue M May 29, 2009 at 9:09 pm

Scarves, lot of scarves, I am new to weaving and I think that your yarn would be lovely in scarves that I could weave and share with my Michigan friends.

Renee G May 29, 2009 at 9:12 pm

I have a pattern for a crochet, throw/sweater that I would love to try.

Oh my! So beautiful au naturel!

JezebellGray (on Ravelry) May 29, 2009 at 9:19 pm

The yarn is sooo yummy looking. I have a couple of things that I would do with it, if I were the winner. First off, I would surround myself in it, as I’ve never knit with anything other than superwash wool in my sock yarns, acrylic and kitchen cotton. I wish very much to try to make something beautiful and warm with a beautiful yarn.
Secondly after frolicing in the yarn for a bit, I’d get going straight away on making a set of matching sweaters for my almost 5 yr old daughter, and the baby we just found out we’re due to have in January next year. I would hope that having something in common, and something my daughter could say she helped “design” would lessen any jealousy.

Beverly May 29, 2009 at 9:42 pm

Thanks for having such a wonderful giveaway. All the colors are beautiful. I’d definitely make a cardi.

Brianna May 29, 2009 at 9:49 pm

I am thinking a fluffy cabled scarf and big warm mittens. =)

Nancy L. May 29, 2009 at 10:15 pm

I’m thinking Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Gaffer’s Fisherman Gansey. What a lovely accident.

Lesley May 29, 2009 at 10:25 pm

Mmmm this is gorgeous and would make a lovely cabled sweater!

Caryn May 29, 2009 at 10:35 pm

I would make a Februrary Lady Sweater out of most of it, and use the remainder to make my donation sweaters for Warm Woolies and Afghans for Afghans.

Linda May 29, 2009 at 10:37 pm

Wow this yarn is popular. Hmm, I was thinking a nice cozy throw to put on my recliner for the winter.

kelly May 29, 2009 at 10:51 pm

I would like to make a sweater for my husband. I have been looking for the right color and texture for a manly sweater.

Devin May 29, 2009 at 11:06 pm

This looks so nice. I’d probably dye it a deep purple and then make this vintage cabled sweater I’ve been itching to make.

stephanie n May 29, 2009 at 11:49 pm

I’ve been thinking of a lovely cardigan to knit while in Montana this summer. Something in a wooly, natural color; Something simple and stylish; Somthing that reflects the clear mountain air and wide open skies–starting with a solid border with garter or seed stitch in a wide ribbing, followed by a few nice ridges (the foothills), opening into the mountains and the bodice in a nice clear open sky. Finally a wide neckline–maybe echoing the bottom edging–that completes the picture. One of those simple, perfect sweaters you will wear every day–lovely and comforting!

TripletMom May 29, 2009 at 11:57 pm

Gorgeous yarn. I have my fingers crossed.

Hope May 30, 2009 at 7:07 am

I totally see sweater for the beach made out of this beautiful yarn. Keeping my fingers crossed…

Elizabeth Crawley May 30, 2009 at 7:27 am

Oh how I miss shearing day! I was the “sheep mama” at a living history farm. I do miss my girls! I would knit a Celtic cabled sweater with the yarn. I go tomorrow to a Melissa Leapman workshop to learn the Celtic cable technique. Cables show up so well with an oatmeal colored yarn!!

Sarah May 30, 2009 at 9:02 am

I would make a sweater–maybe the Forecast cardigan or the Everyday Cardigan. They both seem like they would show off the color very well!

Rosie May 30, 2009 at 9:18 am

Oh, that color is lovely and begs to be made into a ribbed, zippered cardigan, maybe with a hood — something cute to throw on over the short sleeves when it cools off on summer evenings.

Melody Hensel May 30, 2009 at 10:12 am

Like a bit of Ireland…glorious!

Rachael May 30, 2009 at 10:49 am

It would be oh-so-perfect for a full on aran cardigan, knit tight enough to fend off the wind in late fall. Gorgeous!

Katie May 30, 2009 at 11:10 am

I’m in! The yarn is beautiful!

Nancy Wedge May 30, 2009 at 11:36 am

I would encourage my middle school knitting clubbers to create the coffee cup cozies. It’s a simple felted project and a wonderful conversation starter about being green and thinking about living green starting with that first cup of java. It’s an thoughtful Mother’s/Father’s Day gift.

sjanova May 30, 2009 at 11:39 am

That is totally gorgeous yarn. I think it needs to be made into an aran type cardigan that I would treasure forever. It would show the cables so nicely!!!

Erin May 30, 2009 at 11:44 am

Gorgeous color! I would make a little summer shrug for those few chilly nights. And probably a scarf or two. ;)

I know it’s not the right gauge… but I will swatch and do math and make a bigger size in a smaller gauge and this sweater shall be mine.

Or if my math prowess is too lacking, then http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/halcyon-3
Yeah…. that’d be nice too.

That Oatmeal Heather is luscious. I’ve been trying to get more grains in my diet… :) Pick me, pick me, pick me!!!

Stephanie May 30, 2009 at 12:34 pm

Oh my, I LOVE the look of that! I’m thinking a baby blanket for the babe my husband and I are so desperately wanting. :)

Hilary May 30, 2009 at 1:17 pm

I will make my 2009 pair of fingerless gloves – probably Fetching from Knitty!

Kenoshia May 30, 2009 at 3:46 pm

It’s gorgeous. I would definitely put it toward a Summertime Tunic.

Jean Lightner Norum May 30, 2009 at 4:19 pm

It sounds as though there might be enough for me to make another felted jacket similar to the one I’m working on now. It’s the Heather pattern from the Twist Collective.

Jenifer May 30, 2009 at 5:18 pm

What a generous gift! So many possibilities with such lovely yarn. Classic sweater comfort, a cabled cardigan.

Linda May 30, 2009 at 6:15 pm

I just ordered the book “Knit Kimono”, and if I won the yarn I would hope to find a good pattern in that book. Didn’t get the book yet, but it looks like a lot of the patterns will be akin to boxy sweaters.

Mary May 30, 2009 at 7:33 pm

WOW! This is giveaway is wonderful & could not have come at a better time! From the moment I saw this aran armchair slipcover: http://www.chairblog.eu/2008/12/04/knit-an-aran-armchair-slipcover-%C2%BB-curbly-diy-design-community-%C2%AB-keywords-knit-knitting-knitted_slipcover-slipcover/
I was in love! I just bought the perfect armchair from an auction last month & have been searching for the perfect yarn to tackle this project! The Oatmeal Heather yarn is just BEGGING to become a cosy aran armchair cover with all it’s cabley goodness! Everyone should have an aran chair – especially for cold Canadian winters!

Rachel May 30, 2009 at 7:35 pm

I would like a slightly fitted cardigan with 3/4 length sleeves (forever pushing my sleeves up to do something). Or a vest or two with some nice vintage detailing

Heather May 30, 2009 at 8:14 pm

Oh my, does that yarn look luscious. I’ve never made a blanket out of a non-superwash yarn before, but this just begs to be a throw, I think. Something cuddly and lovely…sigh.

Joan May 30, 2009 at 8:51 pm

Oh my! Beautiful yarn…. I’d like to knit a cobblestone sweater for my guy. But let’s be serious… I’d knit myself a dollar-and-a-half and he’d never be the wiser!! :)

Jessica Quirk May 30, 2009 at 9:04 pm

This yarn is gorgeous and comfy looking! I would definitely make a sweater to snuggle up in!

Louise Edsall May 30, 2009 at 9:40 pm

ooh been away from this site for a bit …high school graduations and such but this yarn must be calling me… oooh I think a cardigan for sure!

Mary T. May 30, 2009 at 9:44 pm

Why wait for the beach? Here in the mountains it would be perfect for an after dinner walk in the cool still-spring air.

rebecca May 30, 2009 at 10:17 pm

oh! the slightly tweedy look of it means that i would so totally make the cropped “forever tweed” pullover from the latest issue of Interweave’s Knitscene.

See it here http://www.knitscene.com/issue/Spring-2009-Projects.asp#tweed

I’m more a natural fiber color person, so i wouldn’t die it – i’d just enjoy its yummy oatmeal-y goodness!

Elena May 30, 2009 at 11:26 pm

Another person here who sees an Owl Sweater in that yarn! Looks like it would be a delight to work with.

Valerie K May 30, 2009 at 11:55 pm

Hmmm! a sweater for my husband or a shawl for me? a sweater for my husband or a shawl for me? a sweater.for my…..I will have to flip a coin.

Louise May 30, 2009 at 11:59 pm

Wow that is beautiful yarn. I think I would make Tweedy Aran Cardigan http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/tweedy-aran-cardigan or November Ruffle wrap http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/november-ruffle-wrap.

M Kato May 31, 2009 at 12:06 am

beautiful yarn, beautiful farm!

Esther in CA May 31, 2009 at 12:40 am

If I were to win, I’d make cardigan/shrugs for my Mom, my sisterand myself. I need to get back to knitting, so they don’t think that I am depress after my stroke.

daniella May 31, 2009 at 12:46 am

Tinadp May 31, 2009 at 5:13 am
