Happy Friday! Time to share all the neato torpedo links you’ve stumble on this week. I’ll go first:
Almost everybody on the planet is familiar with cakewrecks, one of the funniest, best written blogs ever. But have you seen Horrible Tattoos? Hil-flippin’-larious. Unfortunately it hasn’t been updated since October.
Indie Fixx is combatting the economic downturn with free art. I love this! Here’s the Q&A from the site:
“What is this Feed Your Soul: the free art project?”
Well, every month I will share FREE ART with you from artists that I have invited to participate in the project. Each invited artist will contribute one print that you can print out on some cardstock and frame or even just thumbtack to the wall.
“Why are you doing this?”
Well, I love art and I know you do too. I also know that when people start to tighten up the purse strings they tend not spend money on things that aren’t necessary for survival, things like books, magazines and art. But, art is important for your soul. It helps rejuvenate, it’s thought-provoking, offers inspiration and can generally brighten an otherwise dreary day among other things. In addition to helping brighten your day and put a little spring in your step, I want to help promote some of my favorite artists.”
When I need to send a birthday gift to a child I really like to find something handmade. I figure they get enough plastic crap from everyone else, you know? I love this small wooden jeep. And all of these animal pull-toys.
This needle-felted piggy made me smile.
Seed starting tutorial for gardening newbies.
Have you seen VTknitboy’s Lyra? There are no words…Chris, you have mad skills.
Harry’s birthday party had a facial hair theme (yes, we are weird!) so I ordered two of these awesome tie-on beards from imadeyouabeard.
I am in love, love, love with these tiny vegetable stamps.
I’m not getting married anytime soon, but if I was, I kind of dig these whole family cake toppers.
March 28 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. is Switch Your Lights off for the Earth Hour.
You know what else I like? Baby goats! You know what I hate? Waiting for them! I’ll keep you updated on Miss Linda…
Got anything cool you want to share? Link away! Just remember that comments with two or more link are moderated so it may take a minute of two to get them up.

I was wondering why his birthday cakes had moustaches!
Hee, hee…..I made a moustache and beard like that once, for one of the kid’s school projects where they had to dress up like Giovanni Verrazzano…..Yeah, I know…that’s strange too!
How about this? The rumor going around on the email that accompanys the link says that all the dancers are deaf and are cued by people standing (hidden) on the 4 corners of the stage:

Susan:
Since you didn’t mention it in the blog at all, I didn’t know if you knew about it. In the April 2009 edition of Food and Wine, on page 36 (the new and notes section( there is a small and I do mean small note about the farm and CSY.
Thought you’d like to know.
