I got a phone call this week from a producer from the Weather Channel. They are going to be filming a story about our farm and CSA weekend after next for NBC’s “Green is Universal” week in April. Among other things, they would like to shoot some people getting a farm tour.
Here’s what you need to know:
-We aren’t sure yet which day they will be shooting.
-There will be a whole lot to do the day they are here, so, although we’d love for you to come, I won’t be able to spend much time socializing before or after the tour.
-We need about ten people total, so we’ll take reservations on a “first reply” basis.
-If it isn’t still cold and snowy, the farm with definitely be muddy. You’ll need to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and boots.
-Your presence will equal your consent to be filmed and appear on T.V. You may or may not be asked to sign a release to that effect.
Of course Erin, Patrick and I would love to see all of you and for you to see the flock. And there will be plenty of other opportunities once this nasty weather clears up.
Please let me know if you are interested in helping us out! susie AT fiberfarm.com

Where in NY are you located? I’m more curious than anything. I live in Columbia County. I love reading your blog! I’d love to volunteer to come, i think that would be such a great experience, but I have four little ones in tow! If you aren’t located too far from me, give me a good day to come with children sometime…and I’ll be there!
Oh I wish I was there. I lived near Sylvan Lake in the 70′s and would love to wonder around the area. I’ll have to content myself with looking for the show on TV when it airs.
Seems like I’m off by one week. I was in your area last weekend and tried to arrange for a weekend but didn’t work.
